Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

I’ve seen different takes on this, but I decided to just go out on a limb and experiment myself, and let me tell you these turned out so amazing! And my craving for chocolate was satisfied after 2 chocolates. Here’s a few benefits from this delicious desert that is also metabolism boosting!

*The cocoa powder in these contains magnesium, which most people are deficient in. It is depleted in your body during times of stress. It helps you sleep and helps with muscle soreness, among many other things!

*Himalayan salt has copious amounts of minerals that your body needs on a daily basis. Salt is not bad for you, just table salt is 😉

*Unpasteurized honey contains probiotics which help your immune system, improve digestion and help with the good bacteria in your gut. Although its still a sugar, its a natural one, which is better than any process man made one 🙂

Ingredients
Servings: chocolates
Instructions
  1. Whisk the first 5 ingredients in a bowl. Use an ice cube tray or a decorative one that I have (IKEA) to spoon the mixture into each mould 1/3 full. Put in freeze for 5 minutes.
  2. While its freezing, melt the peanut butter with the drops of stevia and 1/2 tbsp coconut oil. Remove trays from the freezer and spoon in the peanut butter mixture another 1/3 full. Put back into the freezer
  3. Remove from freezer and finish the last 1/3 with the remaining chocolate and freeze one more time. I had extra chocolate left over so I added in a few drops of orange extract and put it in the fridge. MMMM
  4. These can be stored in the fridge or the freezer. If left out on the counter they will melt, depending on the temperature of your home so if you are transporting them somewhere be sure to use a cooler!
