How I went from BLOATED to TRIM overnight!

How did I do it?  Was it a pill? Was it a drink? Was it some kind of invasive surgery?  How did I go from the pic on the left to the pic on the right overnight?!

Well, it’s definitely none of the above mentioned things.

The pic on the left is from eating foods that my body does not like believe it or not! And the pic on the right is the next morning,  after the non agreeable food had been digested.

I am not perfect.  And I do not expect any of my clients to be either. Life is life and it’s meant to be enjoyed. So in saying that, heres what happened: I went out for dinner  and ordered a fish taco. I absolutely love those things! When it arrived in front of me I noticed the fish was battered  (some places the fish is just flaked). It’s been a while since I’ve had anything battered and I  didn’t think a small amount of this kind of food would affect me so of course  I mowed it down. Well, an hour later I was in excruciating pain and my stomach looked as the picture shown.

I love my body and I want to treat it right.  Feeling like this is not an option for me. I want to feel great. So I will not be opting for this next time let’s be clear about that!

One of my favourite quotes is “Most people have no idea how good their body is designed to feel” by Kevin Trudeau.  And it’s absolutely true! It’s not normal to walk around tired all the time, or to want to have a nap at 3 in the afternoon or to wake up after a full nights sleep feeling exhausted still! You should be bouncing out of bed (maybe not quite literally) and have the energy to take you through your day until you’re ready for bed again, including a work out in there somewhere!

When you put the kinds of foods into your body that does not serve it well, your body reacts. Sometimes you might not know what exactly is affecting your body until you remove it for a while (a couple weeks) and then reintroduce it again.

Can you relate to how I felt? After enjoying a great meal you end up feeling bloated,  you have heart burn,  a lot of gas plus a drastic drop in your energy levels? It’s not fun is it!

BUT the good news is there’s a way to beat it. I’ve become very in tune with my body over the last couple of years. I know what foods feel good and nourish my body and which ones leave me feeling the way I did the other night.

Sometimes it’s not just about the food you put into your body that’s the problem.  What if you feel this way after MOST meals you eat? Then what? Well, that most likely means you have an under-functioning stomach. This can happen by consuming fast food, using antibiotics, being on birth control, having prolonged stress,  as well as various other things. Every body is different and it should be treated as such. There is no blanket approach when it comes to your health.  Maybe you have an intolerance to a certain food, maybe you don’t have enough enzymes in your stomach to digest your food properly, or maybe you don’t have enough good bacteria in your gut and it has been  overridden with bad bacteria that’s leading to a lot of these unwelcoming symptoms.
